THE LONDON BOROUGH WALKS SERIES -
Probably the biggest walking project ever undertaken and will be more than thirty books when completed in 2012, with some 3,000 miles of walking! Each book explores all the walks within the boundaries of each borough, including sections of the recreational paths - The Capital Ring and London Loop. Also all waymarked paths in each borough and along any canal or navigation. Paths/routes linking parks together are also written about. Plus details of shorter walks in Open Spaces and Nature Reserves. Each book attempts to cover all the walks in each borough, together with considerable local history adding interest and purpose to each walk. Deatils of how to get toa walks' start by bus, underground and train is included, together with details of what Ordnance Survey map is needed; plus inns and cafes along the way. Combined, all you need to explore a given area of London.
London has much to offer the walker and explorer and it is hoped these walk books will prove an eye-opener to the historic countryside on your doorstep.
